- Most municipal dog parks are free. Some counties run permit systems ($20–$60/year) and private dog parks charge day passes or memberships — call or check posted signs before your first visit.
- What are typical dog park rules?
- Current rabies vaccination, no dogs in heat, no food inside the fence, pick up after your dog and supervise at all times. Many parks have separate small-dog (under 25–30 lbs) areas.
- Is a dog park safe for puppies?
- Most vets recommend waiting until a puppy has completed its full vaccination series, around 16 weeks. Before that, stick to controlled playdates with known, vaccinated dogs.
